I always try to describe in detail the postoperative well-being of a woman immediately after mammoplasty, one day and three days after the operation. Trying to portray this on your own example is quite problematic, but sometimes inspiration descends on me. But back to our question.

So, everything is clear with antiviral and antibiotics, but should I take painkillers or not? The answer, at first glance, seems obvious, but not everything is so simple. First, you first need to understand what provokes this pain. In the case of breast arthroplasty, this is an implant. The foreign body is the culprit of the discomfort of the mammary glands. Or rather, not the implant itself, but its textured shell. The surface is in contact with living, freshly operated gland tissues. Therefore, any even minimal movement of the girl causes scratching pain in the chest.

What causes pain?

Minimal physical activity or micromovements are inhalation-exhalation (often deep), any hand movements, a change in body position (laying down and getting out of bed). Recovery after breast augmentation is a rather difficult period in which life follows strict rules. And with such an intervention as reduction mammoplasty, rehabilitation is similar to that needed when installing implants. Some patients who have undergone breast correction are tempted to "celebrate" their transformation immediately after discharge from the clinic. However, when asked if alcohol is allowed after mammoplasty, surgeons answer unequivocally: you should refrain from drinking alcohol for at least 2 weeks. There are at least 4 reasons for such a ban.

Reason 1: Alcohol increases swelling

Reason 3: Alcohol enhances the toxic effects of drugs

Alcohol intake is strictly prohibited during the first 2 days after mammoplasty - this is how long the remains of anesthetic drugs are removed from the body. The combination of alcoholic beverages, even with small doses of anesthetics, can lead to depression of the respiratory center. In a clinical setting, this condition is easily corrected. But being at home, the patient may simply not have time to see a doctor.

It is dangerous to take alcohol together with other groups of drugs that are prescribed after mammoplasty: antibiotics and analgesics.
