On this day, we honor those who have chosen a difficult and responsible military path for themselves, who protect the peaceful life of our citizens, the security of our Motherland. And of course, this holiday personifies the glorious centuries-old history of the Russian army. At all times, it served as a solid stronghold of the state, a guarantor of stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, symbolized its national dignity and power.
Our people have always been proud of their defenders, their martial arts, valor and brilliant victories. The heroes of Poltava, Borodino, Stalingrad and many, many legendary battles and battles fought to the death for their native land and more than once in history decided the fate of Russia with their perseverance, courage, fortitude and heroism.
Not sparing their lives, our officers and soldiers helped defend the freedom and independence of other peoples, carried out important peacekeeping missions, participated in the aftermath of natural disasters, and saved people in emergency situations.
