What kind of cosmetic oil can be smeared on the face. The best oil for skin: choosing a winter option

In addition to lethargy, apathy and problems with immunity in winter, you may encounter another nuisance - increased sensitivity of the skin of the face. Due to sudden changes in temperature, piercing cold wind and too dry air in heated rooms, it becomes painfully dry, tight, constantly flaky and causes considerable discomfort.

In the cold, blood circulation slows down, and the production of sebum, which protects the skin from drying out and damage, decreases. This leads to the fact that the skin becomes dehydrated, becomes dull and loses elasticity.

To avoid all these seasonal misunderstandings, or at least keep them to a minimum, follow the simple tips and tricks listed below.

How to take care of your skin from the inside

It is necessary to take care of the skin of the face not only from the outside, with the help of cosmetics, but also from the inside, with the help of a well-balanced diet. What we drink and eat has a huge impact on the condition of the skin, so for starters, you should pay attention to your eating habits.

Drink plenty of water

The human body is on average 70% water. Without maintaining the water balance of the body, it is impossible to imagine its normal functioning. It is also impossible to imagine that the skin will be radiant, moisturized and elastic if you do not give it something to nourish from the inside.

No matter how trite it may sound, but first of all we recommend. How much, how and when - it's up to you. Do not forget at least a couple of glasses a day to make up for the lack of fluid.

Watch your nutrition

A healthy and balanced diet has a huge impact on the condition of the skin, so avoid excessive fatty food and foods high in sugar.

Make sure your diet contains enough omega-3 fatty acids, which enhance the skin's ability to protect against external damage. To provide the body with this acid, you need to eat more fatty fish (salmon, sardines, halibut, tuna). If you don't like fish, you can replace it with fish oil capsules.

You should also take a closer look at other foods containing omega-3: nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds and macadamia), oils (olive, flaxseed, corn, sunflower, rapeseed, soy), tofu, pumpkin, avocado, spinach.

To improve the condition of the skin and speed up the process of its regeneration, eat foods rich in antioxidants. Most often, these are bright vegetables and berries: peppers, beets, beans, cranberries, raspberries and black currants.

Don't Forget Your Vitamins

AT winter period felt noticeable in the body, so make sure you get them in the right amount.

We are particularly deficient in vitamin D, which we get both from food and through direct exposure. sun rays. You can fill its deficiency with mushrooms, fish oil, tuna, sardines, liver, caviar, butter, cream, egg yolk, parsley.

However, remember that before you start using any vitamins or nutritional supplements, it is better to consult a specialist.

How to take care of your skin outside

In order for the skin of the face to look healthy and not lose its elasticity in winter, you need to slightly adjust your usual care program and use more gentle cleansers.

Wash your face properly

In order not to harm the skin in winter, remember a few basic recommendations:

  • don't wash too much hot water so as not to dry out the skin;
  • avoid using soaps with a high alkali content;
  • use the most gentle cleansing products (soft foams and mousses, make-up remover oils);
  • choose cleansers without alcohol and sulfates, so as not to violate the protective barrier of the skin and not cause dryness and flaking;
  • do not rub your face and give up products that launder it “to a squeak”. This disrupts the lipid barrier of the skin.

Find the right moisturizer for the season

Your regular moisturizer is unlikely to be very effective in winter. Even if you are the lucky one with flawless skin, hydration, protection and nutrition will definitely not be superfluous.

Whatever skin type you have, listen to universal council: for the winter it is worth choosing a denser and richer cream on a fatty (oil) basis instead of water.

Tips for choosing a good winter cream:

  • look for the following inscriptions on the jar of cream: oil-based (oil-based), for sensitive skin (for sensitive skin), barrier repair and lipid replenishing (restoration of the lipid layer and protection from dehydration);
  • the cream should contain components that retain water in the skin: urea, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, silicone, sorbitol, oils;
  • give preference to creams containing antioxidants and forming a protective film on the skin.

You need to take care of your skin not only during the day, but also at night. Serums, sheet masks and natural oils are considered ideal winter remedies. It is worth trying products containing jojoba, almond, avocado, coconut or argan oil.

  • do not forget to carry hygienic lipstick or balm with you, which will contain wax or vitamin E - they contribute to the rapid healing of microcracks;

How not to harm the skin of the face

In order for the skin of the face to be completely safe in winter, you need to know how to behave correctly in some everyday situations. Taking a shower correctly, properly preparing for a walk, creating a suitable temperature regime in the room is as important for the skin as cosmetic care and nutrition.

Protect your skin while walking

If you are going for a long walk or it is very cold outside, you should use a cold cream or a special cream designed for severe weather conditions. As a rule, such creams can be found in pharmacies. By consistency, they are more like an ointment.

Half an hour or an hour before going outside, apply the cream on the skin so that it has time to absorb and begin to protect your face from environmental influences. Don't forget to pay attention to your lips and apply a protective balm or lipstick to them.

If there are no weather anomalies or you just need to get out for a while, then you can use an ordinary moisturizer for the winter period.

If you are going to ski, play sports or walk, and it is sunny outside, then you should also protect your skin from exposure to sunlight. Yes, they are much weaker in winter than in summer, but this does not mean that you should neglect the use of a protective cream. For the winter season, you should choose a cream with an SPF of 15 or higher.

In addition, to avoid chapping, dryness and redness, try to cover as much of your face as possible with clothing or a special mask if you play sports.

Take a shower properly

No matter how warm the thought of a hot shower or bath may be in winter, it is better to drive them away on the approach, if you do not want to harm your skin. Avoid hot water and try to wash instead with warm water to maintain the natural moisture level of the skin.

In addition to compliance temperature regime there are also rigid time frames: in winter it is recommended to spend no more than 5-7 minutes in the shower to avoid overdrying the skin. After getting out of the shower, the skin of the face must be moisturized with a cream to restore the water balance.

Create a healthy microclimate in the apartment

In winter, due to central heating, the air in the rooms becomes very, and this negatively affects the condition of the skin of the face. To feel more comfortable, use the following recommendations:

  • get a humidifier and keep the humidity in the range from 30% to 60%;
  • try to keep the room temperature in the range of 20 to 23 ° C;
  • ventilate the room regularly.

What is the result

  • Don't forget to drink clean water and eat a balanced diet.
  • Take a shower and wash only with warm, but in no case hot water.
  • Do not lick your lips or rub your skin.
  • Replenish your cosmetic bag with the following products: hygienic lipstick or balm, mild cleanser, moisturizing, nourishing and oil-based protective creams.
  • Do not use funds for water based and high in alcohol.
  • Use sunscreen if you are outside for a long time on a sunny day.

With proper skin care during the cold months, you will not have to urgently reanimate it before the onset of spring, so try to follow our fairly simple tips.

Almond oil helps to eliminate traces of aging due to the presence of the following substances in the composition:

  • Vitamin F. This is a complex of unsaturated fatty acids necessary for the construction of cell membranes and normal blood circulation in tissues. Without this, wrinkles will definitely not be able to smooth out at least somehow.
  • beta carotene. It accelerates tissue regeneration and protects against the harmful effects of UV rays, which leads to the so-called photoaging.
  • Alpha tocopherol. Vitamin E traditionally functions as a moisturizer. With its help, the skin receives the right amount of moisture needed to smooth mimic and age wrinkles.
  • B vitamins. Each of them has a positive effect on metabolic processes, increases the resistance of tissues to wind, cold, and the sun. Their presence in the composition allows you to eliminate the lack of moisture in the skin, make it radiant and young.

It is also worth singing praises to him because it contains special peptides that resemble collagen. The tissues saturated with them acquire elasticity and say goodbye to fine wrinkles.

This is the most affordable product that is sold not only in cosmetic stores, but also in the market or in a pharmacy. For facial care, a raw product is required that has not been heated during the production process.

The oil has a high percentage of fat content, so it is poorly absorbed. But there is a plus - after its use, moisture reserves are restored in the skin, with a deficiency of which it simply sags.

rose essential oil

It proved to be excellent in the fight against shallow age wrinkles that appeared as a result of the harmful influence of various external factors. Its use is relevant with a lack of moisture in the tissues and roughness of the face, which will certainly appear over the years.

For aging skin, it is important to restore the water-salt balance in time and normalize the production of the main components of the dermis (collagen and elastin). This is exactly what lavender essential oil helps to do, but it is not recommended to use it if its integrity and irritation are violated.

lavender oil

The product refreshes the face, gives it a healthy color and tones. The rejuvenation is also positively affected by the improvement of the blood circulation of the dermis, the elimination of the negative effects of exposure to the sun, wind, and low temperatures.

Jasmine oil

Neroli oil

By regularly adding this remedy to creams, lotions and other cosmetics, after a few weeks you will notice a reduction in the number of wrinkles, softening of the dermis, its smoothness and silkiness. As a result, age spots are lightened, acne disappears, cells are saturated with moisture, which helps to improve complexion. A natural, beautiful blush appears on it due to the restoration of blood circulation.

The best "colleagues" for this component will be other natural oils - olive, coconut, avocado, peach. In this combination, the skin will become more elastic, get rid of rosacea, begin to heal faster after integrity violations and recover from the stress experienced under the influence of the sun, wind and cold.

Essential oil of geranium

This is one of the rarest oils, which in its pure form is almost never found on sale. Most often, it is added to various anti-aging masks, creams, lotions, milk, tonics. The product has the most striking effect on sluggish, devoid of "energy" skin. It is famous for its ability to restore the firmness and elasticity of the dermis, to strengthen its frame.

You can find the remedy in a pharmacy in a glass vial. You can recognize it by its almost transparent color and the pungent smell of alcohol. It is recommended to use the product no more than 1-2 times a week.

Castor oil

This is a fairly popular remedy for skin rejuvenation. It is actively used not only in face care, but also for hands, feet, body. To do this, the oil is added to the bath and take it for about 10-20 minutes.

It can be applied to the face both in its pure form and as part of masks, creams, lotions. It is very popular to mix it with vitamin E and egg white. In this combination, it deeply penetrates the skin, restores it at the cellular level.

It is recommended to use it starting from the age of 25, when there is less collagen and elastin in the tissues, which are responsible for their elasticity. The main tasks of the product: cleansing the skin of toxins, nourishing it with moisture, vitamins E, A, B and toning. Such a complex action ultimately leads to a reduction in the number of wrinkles.

Also important is its ability to restore metabolic processes and accelerate the formation of new cells. With it, you can also count on the elimination of acne and acne, more active healing of scars.

Coconut oil

This is one of the most useful and versatile oils. It is suitable for absolutely any skin type and helps not only in the fight against wrinkles.

Outwardly, it looks like butter, has the same White color and thick texture. These characteristics are inherent only in the raw product, while the processed one becomes liquid and yellow.

The product is very greasy, poorly absorbed into the skin and leaves behind an unpleasant thick film. But he can correct shallow wrinkles of various origins, properly moisturize the skin, eliminate its inflammation and redness, and improve color.

It is valued primarily because it contains a lot of squalene, which stimulates blood circulation in tissues and metabolic processes. Of great importance are vitamins C, E, A, which are necessary for the production of collagen and cell regeneration. Without such actions, the dermis becomes sluggish and uneven, loses its elasticity.

Phytohormones, which are also part of the product, lighten age spots, eliminate peeling and increase the level of local immunity.

Peach oil

This oil is natural, safe and practical to use. It is instantly absorbed, has a pleasant smell, does not stain clothes and is easily washed off if necessary. It is also important that it can be safely combined with other oils and not only with them.

With its help, skin turgor improves due to the activation of metabolic processes, cell renewal, restoration of water-salt balance. To do this, the product should be used at least 2-3 times a week in its pure form.

Recipes with apricot oil involve adding it to ready-made anti-aging creams or mixing it with other anti-aging ingredients - aloe and lemon juice, egg yolk, honey.

Unlike competitors, this remedy is very delicate, carefully cares for even problem skin, it almost never causes allergies. Thanks to him, the skin is provided with deep nutrition, vitamins C, E, A, magnesium and potassium, which improve blood circulation in the tissues. As a result, fine wrinkles are smoothed out, acne, black spots, and flabbiness disappear.

Palm oil

The use of this tool in cosmetology is very common due to its complex effects. It is available in both liquid and creamy form, if it undergoes heat treatment. In the first case, its color is saturated yellow, and in the second - white.

This is one of the few oils containing such rare substances as Q10, vitamins K and D. This composition allows you to minimize DNA damage, cleanse the skin of blackheads and toxins, start the process of its regeneration and thereby smooth out fine wrinkles.

This oil is obtained by cold pressing pumpkin seeds. It is rich in carotenoids, tocopherol, phospholipids, which slow down the aging of the body and activate cellular metabolism. Thus, skin turgor, its firmness and elasticity increase.

In addition to everything, the product effectively moisturizes, nourishes and soothes irritated dermis. It is especially recommended for people with sensitive and problematic skin.

Pumpkin seed oil does not differ in the resistance of the composition to heat treatment; as a result, more than half of all useful substances.

Sesame oil

Sesame oil is the least beneficial for the face of all those included in our TOP-20. But its use can make small defects in the form of crow's feet and wrinkles near the lips not so noticeable. It smooths out roughness and saturates the skin with phospholipids that penetrate deep into the tissues and moisturize them. Due to this, flabbiness disappears and a natural framework of the dermis is formed.

Among the additional effects are anti-inflammatory, soothing, stimulating.

oil - universal care means and is great for dry skin. Oils are wonderful, firstly, for their instant action (and therefore good as an SOS remedy), and secondly, for their variability in use - they can be applied instead of or over serum, added to a cream or used on their own. Now almost every brand has released its own version of face oil - and the editor-in-chief of the Fierce & Cute blog Mur Soboleva has collected ten favorites that will make the coming season a little less terrible.

Absolution Addiction Night & Day Face Oil

Absolution is one of the nicest organic brands I've come across: very thoughtful, but without excessive pathos, which ruined more than one good idea. Isabelle Carron, the creator of Absolution, tried to combine conscious consumption with an urban lifestyle under her brand - it turned out to be an honest and pretty brand. The line is small, but meaningful, and the packaging design is such that the hand reaches for them itself - another quality that distinguishes Absolution from most eco-brands, which usually do not bother with the beauty of bottles and boxes. One of Absolution's flagship products is this flower-scented oil, harvested from extracts from 27 plants. It is not greasy, but quite nutritious: if the skin is not very dry, you can even do without cream.

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

The oil appeared in the assortment of the expensive French brand Sisley three years after the launch of the black rose mask, which instantly became a bestseller and remains so to this day. The outrageously luxurious dry oil smells like mature, lingering rose, glides on thinly and leaves skin glowing from within. The composition is balanced and natural, although not amazing (based on phytosqualane, plant oils and algae extracts). This oil is recommended primarily for owners of dry and dehydrated skin, but it absorbs so well that it has fans with combination skin. Anti-Aging is written on the bottle, but there are no specific anti-aging components here, so you can use the product even at an age when it is too early to fight wrinkles - improved skin tone has not harmed anyone yet.

Biotherm Liquid Glow Best Skin

This new product was called revolutionary in blogs: Biotherm oil is universal and is intended primarily for those who have never been fond of oils, in particular, for young girls with oily and combination skin (for dry, however, it is also suitable). The texture of the product is very light, almost watery, so even oil haters should try it. The main ingredient is the antioxidant astaxanthin, which is praised not only by the manufacturer, but also by the authoritative founder of the Beautypedia website, Paula Begun, who usually scolds everyone and for everything. Use of Liquid Glow is suggested different ways, including non-trivial ones, for example, apply it abundantly as a mask.

New York-based Kiehl's isn't one to drip oils into all their products, but it was their Midnight Recovery Concentrate that made thousands of people change their negative opinion of such products a few years ago. Native brother this lavender miracle, Daily Reviving Concentrate, has become the main novelty of the brand this year. Like the Night Concentrate, the Day Concentrate is 100% oil-based, but the texture is light and non-sticky so you can apply cream, sunscreen, and makeup on top and still feel great. By the way, all serums and concentrates of the brand mix perfectly with each other: if necessary, you can add both moisturizing and anti-aging serums to the concentrate.

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

Facial oils were introduced into the range of the brand by its founder, Jacques Courtin-Clarence. Clarins now produces three types of mono oils: sandalwood for redness, lotus for oily skin, and blue orchid oil for dehydrated skin. The latter is the most nutritious and my favorite: it is dense and concentrated, but at the same time it does not give an unpleasant feeling, as if the skin was covered with plastic wrap. For harsh winters, this is the perfect remedy: with it, even severely dehydrated skin will look better literally overnight, especially when supplemented with HydraQuench Rich Cream. The oil can be used as a course, but it is still very thick, so I prefer to apply it as an SOS product a couple of times a week so as not to “overnourish” the skin.

Darphin Revitalizing Oil

The Darphin brand produced face oils, which they call aromatic elixirs, before it was cool: working with oils is the basis of the brand concept, so you can trust him in these matters. There are several aromatic elixirs, each different composition and purpose, but last year there was such a universal option for the face, body and hair - for beginner fans of oils and just for those who find it difficult to choose. True, taking into account the volume of 50 milliliters, it will be too wasteful to use oil on the body and hair - but in order to get acquainted with the brand and its principles, such a bottle is enough. It is best to apply Darphin oils in a specific technique so they really work to their full potential.

Erborian Dongbaek Camellia Essence

One of my favorite brands in the care category, the Korean-French brand Erborian combines Asian and European formulas and does it extremely well - I have not yet come across a bad product in the brand's assortment. On the round box of Dongbaek Camellia Essence, the words "elixir", "essence" and "serum" are written, but in essence and in composition it is an oil. The elixir is made up of 72% camellia oil, traditionally popular in Asian (mainly Japanese) care for its light, non-greasy texture and revitalizing properties. The essence is really very light - so much so that the manufacturer suggests using a cream after it even in the morning: after all, Asian care rituals involve a lot of funds.

The Body Shop Oils
of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil

The brand has always loved to look for ingredients in different exotic corners of the earth and buy them from local farmers: the Fair Trade social program has become as recognizable as part of The Body Shop's image, like hemp hand cream and the Love Your Body slogan. The new Oils of Life series is based on three oils: Chinese camellia, Egyptian cumin and Chilean rosehip. Revitalizing Facial Oil, the staple of the line, is suggested to be used in conjunction with the rest of the series, but it is worthy of attention in itself. It is spent very economically, which should somewhat smooth out the unpleasant emotions from the price tags for The Body Shop products: all the novelties of this year are very interesting, but they cost unexpectedly ruthlessly.

L'Oréal Paris "Luxury Dining"

In the line with the ambiguous name "Luxury nutrition", which evokes thoughts more about hunger than about cosmetics, there is not only a classic oil, but also specially designed for combination skin - a rare beast, especially in the mass market. The oil is designed to simultaneously nourish dry areas of the face and narrow pores where it is needed. I have dry skin, so I personally cannot evaluate such qualities of the product, but I can look at the texture and composition - which, by the way, is more than good, especially considering the merciful price. Balancing and pore-constricting action is achieved through essential oils lemon balm, rosemary, marjoram and lavender, and the texture of the product is so light that it is absorbed without a trace in a few seconds.

Last year, the brand known for its jovial philosophy (all Caudalie products are made with grapes and wine) launched two grape seed oil night facials. Both are 100% natural, but the detox oil from the Polyphenol C15 line is drier and lighter in texture, and my favorite is the dense Overnight Recovery Oil from the excellent Vinosource line, which I consider one of the best moisturizing series on the market. Overnight Recovery Oil is not sticky, but quite rich, so this is an option primarily for dry and dehydrated skin. In combination with the most nourishing cream from the same series, the skin will probably look great even at minus 20. However, I would not like to check.
