Plan of a gazebo with a barbecue made of bricks. Closed gazebo with barbecue: types and examples of projects

Probably, there are no people in the world who do not like to relax in the summer with their loved ones. It is especially good if there is a cottage where you can escape from the bustle of the city.

The correct organization of the recreation area is the initial task of every person who has bought Vacation home. For such a corner, a modern gazebo, complemented by a barbecue or barbecue, is perfect.

Main types and features

First you need to consider what types of summer buildings with a barbecue exist. There are many different options. The most common of them are buildings of a closed and open type.

  • open type. This type of country house has no walls, but the roof is present. The advantage of such a gazebo is unity with nature.

However, open gazebos are disadvantageous in that they cannot be used between October and April.

  • closed type. Closed buildings are considered more versatile. After all, you can relax in them at any time, as they are glazed. And also such a building is often used as a guest house.

Very often buildings for outdoor recreation are supplemented with either a barbecue or a barbecue.

  • Braziers. The installation of the brazier must begin with the gazebo.

It is better to place it in the corner near the farthest wall.

Some of the owners of gazebos are trying to combine a smokehouse with a compact barbecue. Many additionally install even a portable stove. It is very comfortable and does not take up too much space.

  • B-B-Q. The barbecue stove is also built of brick. His appearance it vaguely resembles a traditional barbecue. But still there is a difference. Grills complement the basis of the barbecue, and not the skewers that come with the kit. There are many interesting projects of gazebos, complemented by this particular design. It is very good if there is a table and a washstand nearby.

If the design is portable, then it is better to place it in the center. However, it is worth remembering that there should be a hood above it.

  • Russian stove. To date, the Russian stove is most often used in the arrangement of gazebos. Its main advantage is versatility. After all, in the oven you can not only fry meat, but also cook other dishes. In addition, a Russian stove can decorate any building that is made in the Russian style.

Projects: materials, shapes, dimensions

Pavilions with barbecues are very different. These can be large structures, which are equipped not only with a barbecue, but also with a whole complex for cooking, and small gazebos, equipped with a small barbecue. But it all depends on the choice of the owner.

When choosing materials for a garden gazebo with a barbecue or barbecue, it is necessary to take into account the presence of an open fire. Therefore, the materials must necessarily be appropriate, that is, be resistant to fire and elevated temperatures.

The most popular materials for building gazebos are brick and wood. These are the most affordable and economical options.

Arbors made of wood

Wooden structures are very beautiful and environmentally friendly. In addition, wood is one of the most inexpensive materials, easily amenable to any processing. Everyone, even a completely inexperienced person, can install such a building, equipped with a barbecue, with his own hands.

This design has many advantages:

  • beautiful appearance;
  • fairly low price;
  • the design is easy to install;
  • installed on a very light foundation.

The only drawback is flammability. Therefore, it is worth taking care of some safety measures for the selected furnace, as well as treating the wood with special impregnations. Arbors made of wood are most often semi-open or open. This is done so that the smoke can freely exit the gazebo.

But there are also Finnish pavilions closed type, in the center of which there is a grill. It is installed directly on the stone countertop.

In such a building, there must be an exhaust hood so that the smoke comes out.

Brick gazebo

If a wooden gazebo is considered temporary, then a brick building with a barbecue can be used at any time of the year. After all, they are not afraid of rain or fire. Such material does not ignite and can serve for a dozen years, while not requiring special attention. In addition, brick gazebos are very warm.

But such gazebos also have disadvantages. Because brick is a rather heavy material, then the foundation for such a building must be made solid, which is a very laborious task. In addition, the materials used for construction are too expensive.

Forged gazebo

Such gazebos are most often bought ready-made. They are made to order. The price is directly related to the size and complexity of the construction of the model.

Forged gazebos with barbecue have many advantages:

  • if you use primers and paints, then such structures will stand for many years;
  • they are quite fire resistant, so placing a brazier and a barbecue in them, you can not worry about your safety;
  • such gazebos set in a romantic mood.

Separately, it is worth considering the materials that are often used for laying stoves and barbecues, as well as some facing works.

  • Basalt. This is a material that has a great color scheme from light green to dark green. He is the best option for laying any stoves in garden gazebo. Often basalt is used for building cladding. It has excellent features. This is a rather high hardness of the material, and its low melting point, and resistance to chemical attack.

  • Vermiculite. Such material is often used for lining furnaces. It consists of golden crystals of the basalt mineral. Vermiculite has the following characteristics: low price, good level thermal insulation and increased density.

  • Clay. This material is the basis for the construction of ovens and barbecues. Clay is the most affordable and at the same time pleases with its quality. It has been used for the construction of furnaces for more than one century.

  • Stone. If you build a furnace from natural stone, then it will delight not only with its practicality, but also with its appearance. Such material has increased strength, is not afraid of temperature changes.

Having decided to build a garden gazebo with a barbecue and a barbecue, one should not forget about the size of the building corresponding to the size of the "culinary corner". For example, if the building has a brick brazier, then it should be at least three meters.

Stoves: choice, safety and care

To properly install the stove in the garden gazebo, you must take into account some points.

  1. It must be protected from any atmospheric precipitation.
  2. The foundation of this furnace should be located slightly above the level of melt water. This is especially true if it is finished with clay.
  3. According to fire safety regulations, barbecues must be located at least three meters from the walls of the building.
  4. A gazebo with a barbecue must be placed away from the gas pipeline and power lines.

The stove itself can be made from different materials. For example, cast iron the main parts of the barbecue oven are made. This is the hearth itself, grill, grills, lining and skewer.

But also masonry can be one of the options for a barbecue oven. brick and fireproof. Masonry is done using a solution of sand and clay in a ratio of three to one. The solution itself should be the consistency of thick sour cream. The oven is laid out in the shape of the letter "P"; while its height should be less than one meter.

If you plan to install a fireplace, then grates must be installed between parallel sides so that there are gaps of up to twenty centimeters between them. A chimney in the form of a cone is installed above them.

If it is decided to install a barbecue in the garden gazebo, then even at the planning stage you need to decide whether it will be portable or built-in.

Portable structures are convenient in that they can be moved to any place. But still built-in braziers are much more functional, as they have many additional elements. These are shelves for storing dishes, and a countertop, and even a niche for storing firewood. This design is quite massive, so the foundation must be solid. It is recommended to place the brazier on the north side.

Arbor - an indispensable attribute personal plot. The Internet is replete with offers to buy ready-made drawings of gazebos for, or entrust the construction of a small architectural form professionals. But often, for some reason, existing proposals do not meet the needs of land owners, either the size does not fit, or it does not suit, or it is simply expensive. And in itself - the process is not complicated and quite feasible with your own hands.

This article is devoted to how to draw up a plan, drawing and diagrams of gazebo nodes, depending on the purpose of the building, how to do it right, a place to relax, a kitchen, etc. And of course, we have selected for you ready-made schemes and drawings of gazebos.

In the photo, the layout of the space with a barbecue, corner structures save space

Layout

The first thing to decide is where the building will stand. To do this, you will need a site plan on a scale convenient for you, which indicates: the main building (house), outbuildings(bath, sheds), schemes garden paths, trees.

Advice: It is better not to cut down perennials, they will still serve for shade and landscape design.

Do-it-yourself gazebos with drawings, a photo of a canopy made of logs of a non-standard simple shape with a corner barbecue

Carefully study the plan of the infield, taking into account the totality of circumstances, and mark on the diagram where, in your opinion, the gazebo will be most appropriate. It is better to place it in the depths of the garden, at the end of the path, between the trees. The distance from the main house is 3-5 m. If, then it is desirable to move it away from the main residential building by more than 8 m.

Plan of a gazebo for a summer residence, independent drawing with dimensions

When drawing up a drawing, do not forget about. For optimally arranging a columnar base. The distance between the posts is 1500-2000 mm, for each vertical support. Post section 300*300, 400*400 mm. When marking the foundation scheme on the ground, add 100 mm on each side so that the base is larger than the dimensions of the building.

Functionality and dimensions - what you need to know

For comfortable outdoor recreation, which means that they should be comfortable, durable, reliable, everything should be at hand, nothing should interfere, annoy. And for this you should know some rules of ergonomics.

Typical drawing of a rectangular structure

As a rule, rectangular buildings have a two- (as in the diagram above) or a hipped roof.

Wooden gazebos, drawings of a square building with a hipped roof

Standard table width 600-800 mm, length 800 mm - for 4 people, 1200 mm - for 6 people. The convenient size of the seat of a chair or bench is 400-450 mm. Thus, the minimum width of the gazebo is 1500 (600+450+450) mm, length 1500-2000 mm.

Do-it-yourself country gazebos, drawings of a mini log construction

Note: If necessary, it can be reduced, in which case it is better to opt for a small, frame canopy building, see an example in the diagram below.

Arbor scheme for a small area

The product is on a metal frame, the dimensions are schematic, the length and width of the gazebo can be changed to suit your needs

For comfortable accommodation of one person, an area on the floor is required - 2 m 2, therefore, optimal size gazebos for a company of 4-8 people - 3 * 4 m, 4 * 4 m (12-16 m 2).

Do-it-yourself hexagonal gazebos, drawings of a standard wooden structure

If not only a place for gatherings is planned, but also a recreation area, with, then the area of \u200b\u200bthe gazebo is calculated at the rate of 4 m 2 per 1 person.

To correctly make a drawing or a fireplace, when calculating the area. The optimal depth of a brick barbecue is 750-1000 mm (3-4 brick lengths), width - 1200 mm (10 brick widths).

Drawing of a standard brazier

In addition to the barbecue or, on the side of it, for convenience, a desktop with a width of 600-800 mm should be provided, to it, preferably, a sink - a width of 600-800 mm, and on the other side a place to store firewood, for symmetry the same distance. Based on this, the minimum length of the kitchen, including the oven, is 2400-3400 mm.

Scheme of a brazier with a working area

In front of the barbecue, it is necessary to provide a free space of 1000-1200 mm in order to move freely during cooking, and the heat does not interfere with those sitting at the table. Thus, when drawing up a drawing of a gazebo, in addition to a place for gatherings of 8-12 m 2, an additional area should be allocated for the barbecue: at least - 2400 * 1750 mm, with comfort - 3400 * 2200 mm.

Shape and design features

In addition to being and, they also differ in shape: rectangular, polyhedral, round, combined, etc.

Assembly diagram of a closed square garden summer house under a hipped roof

Scheme of a large gazebo made of wood under hip roof, on the foundation 4*6 m

The easiest way is to make a drawing of a rectangular gazebo, but pitfalls lie in wait here too: when transferring the diagram to the site, make sure that the angles are strictly 90 o, the diagonals are the same, or use the rule of the Egyptian triangle.

Marking the area for the gazebo

Measure 3.0 m on one side, 4.0 m on the other, connect the points in a straight line, check the geometry, if the connecting line is 5.0 m, then the angle is 90 °

Simple rules for building circuits

Drawings of multi-organ structures cause some difficulties. But let us remind you of just a few rules from the school course. So, for example, a hexagon with equal sides always consists of 6 equilateral (all sides are equal, and angles = 60 o) triangles. Or from two equal trapezoids.

A diagram of how to simply draw the base of a hexagonal gazebo

If you want to change the shape of the gazebo, for example, to enlarge some sides, then first a rectangle is drawn (in the diagram below, with a green line), then its diagonals are drawn, and the middle is found. From the point of intersection of the diagonals, perpendicular to the long sides of the rectangle, I set aside the same segments (yellow line in the diagram), then the points are connected. Or you can still draw 2 equal trapeziums with a common base, the height of the trapezoid should be equal to half the side of the gazebo.

Do-it-yourself hexagonal gazebo drawings, if you want to change the length of the sides

To draw an octagonal gazebo, its base must also be decomposed into simple shapes, as shown in the diagram below.

2 perpendicular intersecting lines are drawn, equal to the length and width of the structure, a rectangle is built, one side of which is equal to the side of the building, the other is the width

The drawing of the gazebo is 8-sided, in the diagram it is marked in yellow how to connect the sides of the polygon

To increase the number of sides in a polygon, just draw another rectangle and connect the vertices along the path, as shown in the diagram.

In the form of a polygon, it is a little more difficult to build relatively simple rectangular buildings, but they look more original and spectacular. To make the gazebo not only functional, but also become, decorate it or choose a lighting scenario.

Summer room for a large company with a barbecue and a bathroom, space zoning drawing

No matter how beautiful and comfortable the country house is, in summer the life of its inhabitants takes place near the gazebo with a barbecue.

Here you can have a leisurely chat, play with children and treat your friends with culinary masterpieces of your own production.

A simple gazebo for a summer residence is built in a few days, and its cost is not burdensome even with modest family incomes. There is no upper "bar" for architectural creativity and decoration.

Therefore, many owners turn this facility into a testing ground for testing original solutions design.

Most often used in country arbors. This material is beautiful and inexpensive, and its laying with a competent approach will not make it difficult even for a novice stove-maker.

We will try not to miss any of the interesting options for these buildings. We hope that home masters, after reading this article, will receive good food for thought and useful practical advice for construction.

Structurally, any gazebo is an ordinary canopy that stands on brick, wooden or metal poles. Gender forms concrete screed or boardwalk mounted on a wooden frame.

The most important part of the structure is the roof. To assemble its supporting frame, you can use metal or wood. They cover the roof of the gazebo with polycarbonate, metal or bituminous tiles. Less common are options with reed, straw or wood shingles.

If you intend to build a gazebo yourself, without experience in roofing works then choose the most simple design. Is it single or double wooden roof, which is based on four, six or eight pillars (the number of support pillars depends on the size).

Having outlined the action plan for the home master, let's move on to considering specific design options and the use of different materials for the construction of this structure.

Examples of design solutions for barbecue arbors

The easiest to implement and aesthetically pleasing option in terms of design is a gazebo with a barbecue, assembled from metal profile pipes. As a coating here, it is best to use corrugated board or metal tiles. They have enough rigidity to do without a plywood backing or OSB boards. The fastening of the steel profiled coating to the crate is simple and quick - the self-tapping screws are screwed directly into the profile.

As you can see in the photo, the owner decided not to philosophize with the fence. He just put a gazebo near metal fence, intuitively guessing the optimal style of the composition. Colored paving slabs were chosen for the floor. This is a good economy option, eliminating the laborious work of pouring concrete base. The only place where a monolithic foundation is appropriate is the base for a brick hearth. It has a fairly large mass, so paving slabs here it is better to replace with 15-20 cm of reinforced concrete.

The next example is a gazebo with a barbecue, built of wood and topped with a multi-pitched hipped roof.

Pay attention to how well its frame is made. Pillars-racks from below and from above are rigidly tied into a spatial frame. The floor is planked and rests on wooden antiseptic logs.

The base of the gazebo is slightly raised above the ground and lined with well-draining material - crushed stone and river pebbles. Even a heavy downpour will not damage such a structure. Water will quickly go into the ground, so the wooden base will not rot and warp.

The owner made the roof from metal tiles. She can't be called best material for such a complex roof (a lot of waste) and expensive ridge elements. Most likely, the choice fell on metal tiles because they were used on the main residential building (it can be seen in the right corner).

Useful advice: when choosing materials and design for the building, try to naturally link it with the appearance of the main building on the site. The estate complex looks very good, in which there are no sharp contrasts between the decoration of the house and the gazebo.

A wooden frame is good not only for housing, but also as original decor for a gazebo. If there is already a log house on your site, then a summer gazebo with cutting elements will perfectly complement it.

Openwork wooden lattices, not too thick, but not very rare (cell 15-20 cm), will add coziness and beauty to the interior space. Artificial stone is used to finish the barbecue, and shelves and countertops are made of natural granite.

The dense wooden lathing on the roof indicates that the covering was used shingles(it requires a solid base). Very convenient design for the hood - an umbrella with a pipe made of sheet metal. It is not as expressive as a solid brickwork and arched lintels over the barbecue, but much easier to manufacture.

Forging in the design of the gazebo goes well with oak racks. To decorate a homemade metal lattice, it is not necessary to master the profession of a blacksmith. Any element of such a decor can be purchased for a moderate fee and then simply attached to the metal by welding.

The appearance of pavilions with barbecue, made of rounded logs, is fabulously beautiful.

Flagstone looks good in the decoration of the basement and barbecue (flat natural stone or its reliable imitation).

If you want to use natural wood racks in the design, then contact Special attention at the points of their connection with the foundation. Wood is not friendly with concrete, consider this fact.

The photo shows a good version of the "adapter" between these materials. This is a steel "glass" with reinforcement embedded in the concrete floor. The heel of a wooden column in it will not collapse from dampness.

To reduce drafts, one of the sides of the gazebo can be made deaf, and easily removable screens can be placed on the others. They will protect you from strong winds and slanting rain.

In passing, we note that a closed gazebo is a more practical option than an open canopy over the barbecue. A minimum of modifications and your building can be used not only in hot weather, but also in wet bad weather.

If the area is not capital house, then for short visits to nature, you can build a gazebo with a glazed fence.

Design options for such a design are countless. In the photo we see a very original and nice solution. Showcase glazing is used on three sides. The roof on one side rests on the main walls of the economic department. The remaining parts of the roof are supported by two powerful frames that act as a facade accent.

Fans of minimalist style will love the building, the design of which is borrowed from science fiction films.

Would you like to get away from straight lines and make an original hipped roof? Pair of OSB sheets, bent metallic profile and shingles. That's all it takes to create a beautiful canopy.

Do you like classic proportions, do you want more sun and air? Please, here is an option with a glass roof and huge windows. A stationary brazier with a pipe in it will be inappropriate, but a lightweight mobile structure for frying kebabs located nearby is what you need.

Supporters of the organic style in architecture can be advised to build such a gazebo.

The tree trunks, used as poles, fit perfectly into the surrounding landscape, and the wooden shingle roof naturally complements the composition. Looking at this photo, you ask, where is the brazier for the gazebo? He literally "asks" under the roof to fill the building with comfort and coziness. When preparing such a project, do not forget that you need to allocate a place for the hearth in advance. Otherwise, you will have problems passing the chimney through the roof.

We note in our review that there are barbecue arbors, where the hearth is located outside the main structure.

The photo shows one of these structures. In addition to the external placement of the barbecue, the design of the gazebo roof is interesting. It is made from bent wooden beams, the gaps between which are filled with a decorative lattice.

You can rest here only in the dry summer season. If desired, the seasonality of the structure can be expanded. To do this, openwork wooden gratings on the roof must be covered with transparent polycarbonate.

The nuances of building a gazebo with a barbecue with your own hands

In which it is planned to build a brick barbecue, it should be spacious enough. Keep this in mind when making a preliminary sketch. We recommend choosing its length within 2.5-3 meters with a width of 3.5-4 meters.

As we said above, the easiest way to build a barbecue gazebo is from metal. To do this, it is enough for a home master to learn how to connect a profiled pipe by electric welding and cut it with a grinder.

The assembly sequence of the metal frame is as follows:

  1. We dig 4 shallow holes (40-50 cm) in the corners of the site;
  2. We put metal racks in the pits;
  3. We expose them on a plumb line and align the upper ends in a horizontal plane;
  4. We concrete the racks and give the supports 5-7 days to gain strength;
  5. We weld horizontal pipes along the upper cut of the racks, forming a stiffening belt;
  6. We set the extreme end rafters from a profiled pipe according to the plumb line and level, connect them with a ridge pipe and weld them to a horizontal belt;
  7. We stretch a beacon cord between the rafters and put intermediate rafter legs along it (we choose their step depending on the size of the sheet roofing material- slate, OSB or metal tiles).
  8. Parallel to the ridge pipe and the lower strapping belt, we attach intermediate pipes (battens) to the rafters.

The fencing option can be chosen according to your taste, using light wood gratings, thick fabric screens, stained-glass windows or forging. To attach them to the main frame at the selected points, you need to fix a horizontal pipe (20x40 mm).

Rest on fresh air unthinkable without cooking something delicious on the coals. The very fact of having a gazebo in the country implies that there should be a barbecue nearby. It will be used not only with guests, but also during personal use with the family (cooking dinner, frying meat on weekends, etc.).

Arbor a priori must be equipped with barbecue facilities. Let even the simplest, located ten meters from the recreation area, but it should be.

In this publication, first of all, the potential location will be considered, as well as the material for the barbecue. This must be decided before the construction of the gazebo, since if a large furnace complex is planned, then additional area and foundation will be needed for it. Even for a simple portable one, you will still need to allocate space, this is important.

The next step is to look at the step-by-step construction process that you will encounter if you plan to build a gazebo from scratch. All steps will be duplicated with photographs for clarity.

Inside or outside?

The place for frying meat can be placed in two places:

Outside gazebos. For this, any free space on the site can be selected. You can choose a place away from crowds of people so that the smoke from combustion products does not cause discomfort to guests. This option can be implemented absolutely for any building, since it is not directly connected with the gazebo.

Inside. For this, a special platform with a chimney is equipped, which allows you to cook food directly next to the guests. It is necessary to think over the design of the gazebo in advance so that the brazier not only fits and does not interfere with rest, but is also made in accordance with all fire safety requirements.

Therefore, if you are considering an option inside, but are looking for ordinary buildings, then think over in advance the minimum dimensions of the gazebo and its location on the site. Otherwise, you simply will not be able to adapt the hearth in the room.

In an open gazebo

A freely ventilated area does not require any serious constructive solutions in terms of construction. It is enough to withstand the entire technology of erecting a brazier, to exclude the ingress of coal on a tree and to monitor the reliability of the entire hearth.

With barbecue

The brazier can be installed in wooden and metal gazebos, although the safest option is brick (the metal structure is sometimes sheathed with a crate, but I generally keep quiet about timber gazebos).

In a closed gazebo (Finnish house)

An interesting option is, which allows you to place a hearth in a closed house right in the center. This idea came to us from the Scandinavian countries, where such structures were used in ancient times to heat people.

Modern facilities allow you to fry meat, sit at the table, and lie down on the reclining couch. And all this indoors!

At the cottage

If the area in the country allows, then you can consider several options for the location of the barbecue. The most preferred place is considered to be a separate space, fenced off from people, wooden surfaces and gusts of wind.

Country building

If for some reason you do not have the opportunity to “ennoble this place”, then any free place is chosen away from the house, barn and wooden fence. Fire safety equipment is placed nearby - a bottle or bucket of water, sand. It is ideal to have an equipped place for a fire extinguisher.

In the garden

If you have the opportunity to place a barbecue within the garden, then this option is also worthy of attention. It should be borne in mind that in autumn the foliage and grass wither, as a result of which the risk of fire increases. However, in summer, when everything is green, it is very pleasant to cook food next to trees, bushes and plants.

Barbecue options in the gazebo

from brick

A massive and capital brazier made of bricks is a wonderful decoration for both the gazebo and the dacha as a whole. Thanks to the closed internal structure, you can cook food in any weather, be it wind or rain.

Small in size

The price of such a “thing” is quite high compared to metal counterparts, but reliability and aesthetics are beyond doubt. In addition, such a brazier can be assembled on your own. Detailed instructions we considered in the article about the creation of a brick barbecue.

Full frying area

metal

The most familiar installation for most summer residents is made of iron sheets on legs. Depending on the thickness of the metal and the welding of the joints, such a brazier can last from one to several tens of seasons without deformation.

There are two installation options:

  1. Stationary. The legs are securely fixed in the ground or concreted, thanks to which you can set everything according to the level for convenient frying of meat (on skewers or a grill, for example).
  2. portable. If you don’t have such a place for frying meat or the area does not allow you to constantly keep the grill in one place, then you can consider a portable option that is removed as needed in the barn.

Idea for a summer house

The price of a metal structure can vary from 150 rubles (in Auchan or Lenta, for example) to tens of thousands of rubles. They will differ in the thickness of the metal, the presence of a blower, the possibility of turning into a slab, and so on.

Electric barbecue (electric grill)

A fashionable format for cooking meat abroad, which is slowly gaining its popularity in our market. There are many varieties of shapes, sizes and prices, in chain stores prices vary from 4 to 15 thousand rubles on average.

If for some reason you do not like the smell of smoke, you are tired of preparing coals and preparing firewood, then you can consider an electric analogue. It will also have its own worries, for example, cleaning surfaces from plaque and grease or safe storage (at least hit it with a hammer or an ax), but they will differ markedly from a wood-burning counterpart.

I, as an avid fan of charcoal barbecue, am skeptical about this installation, but since there is a demand for it, it would be wrong not to mention it.

Complete oven complex

An elite approach to cooking that combines the capabilities of a barbecue, barbecue, oven, stove and even. All in all, this is called a furnace complex.

It is a massive brick structure, which is installed on a separate monolithic foundation, which allows you to cook in different formats - cook pilaf on the stove, bake meat in the oven, and so on.

This is a really interesting option that will add pleasant hassle to the owners. Still, not everyone can boast of having such a thing. Yes, and it will not be possible to install it everywhere, since a large area is really needed for it.

A very interesting option was shown to us by Nikolai Tarasov when he talked about his own.

Do-it-yourself construction

I note right away that we are considering the manufacture of the hearth for frying meat in a separate publication about the construction of a brick barbecue. Below will be given instructions for equipping the gazebo specifically for the needs of cooking on coals.

Foundation

The gazebo itself does not require any serious reason, if we are not talking about brick version. For a brick oven complex, you will have to make it monolithic in any case, but the frame can rest on a regular foundation.

  • From a bar or metal: block, pile.
  • From a brick tape or monolithic.

fire safety

There are several features that also apply to any stoves installed near wooden objects (floor, walls, furniture):

  • The space around the brazier should be upholstered with a metal sheet.
  • Wooden surfaces in the vicinity must be treated with flame retardants (fire protection).
  • The hood should go to the detriment of comfort, and not the quality of the chimney. It is better to make it bigger and better than more convenient and less efficient.
  • The site nearby should be as clean as possible, without debris, chips and firewood that can catch fire.

Following these simple rules will help you avoid problems. Let me deviate a little from the topic and tell a story for those who relate to safety at random.

Case from life (autumn 2016): our friends from Moscow, inveterate summer residents, seriously took up the construction of a cottage in the suburbs. First, they built a barn, then a capital bath with a second floor, and set about building the house itself.

Once, after another frying of meat, in order to get rid of the ashes and ashes inside the brazier, the owner turned it over and left the coals to go out. A few hours later, when the coals were allegedly no longer burning, all the ashes were collected in a plastic bucket (error No. 1), so that later it might be thrown out.

Of course, everyone forgot about this and before leaving the bucket was placed in a wooden shed (error No. 2). It didn't smoke, it didn't smell. Just white ash inside. The next week, when friends came to the country again, an unpleasant surprise awaited everyone: only nails, screws, and metal remnants of special equipment (chainsaw, jigsaw, secateurs, shovels, etc.) remained from the barn.

In order to avoid such grief and stacked hundreds of thousands of rubles in the building and inventory, follow safety precautions and play it safe. Two liters of water are cheaper than a shed with inventory.

Chimney with draft

As you know, a good chimney can cost more than the brazier itself. In this case, saving is not worth it, since we are talking about serious things - carbon monoxide and smoke can not only ruin your vacation, but also harm your health.

The chimney must be large, vertical and installed according to all requirements. At first, during the start of combustion, the draft can be very poor. This is due to the fact that the exhaust pipe must warm up, after which the smoke will begin to be drawn out normally.

If it is possible to light a fire early, before the guests arrive, then it makes sense to do so. This will save your nerves and the comfort of guests if you experience similar problems from time to time.

Dimensional drawings

To understand all the dimensions of your future building, I attach a few detailed drawings. To enlarge the image, click on it.

The most interesting drawing seemed to me with the dimensions and height of the brick brazier from the floor to the beginning of the chimney. Thanks to this drawing, you can make calculations of the material necessary for its construction (provided that the dimensions and shape presented suit you).
